The Rose Institute is pleased to announce the creation of the Rose Report blog.

The Rose Report blog is dedicated to promoting the work of the Rose Institute of State and Local Government at Claremont McKenna College. The Rose Report blog exists in order to:

1) Alert readers to Rose Institute events, projects, and publications of interest.

2) Keep track of current research, information, and news of interest on relevant topics within our areas of expertise.

3) Give our directors, staff, consultants, and students the chance to contribute timely and original content, analysis, and information within our four areas of expertise.

4) Showcase the work of our students by providing them the opportunity to publicly discuss their research.

Cities:
Please update your city profiles for the Kosmont-Rose Cost of Doing Business Survey.

The Rose Institute pursues complementary missions by providing research experiences for Claremont McKenna College students by conducting and publishing research primarily on California government and politics.

Using computer technology, students and faculty in the Rose Institute advance knowledge about politics, and help create services that make the political process more democratic. Through the development of large computerized databases and advanced geographic retrieval systems, students become involved in projects focusing on such topics as redistricting, fiscal analysis, California demographics, survey research, and legal and regulatory analysis. The Rose Institute also continues its collaboration with the Kosmont Companies to publish the annual Kosmont-Rose Institute Cost of Doing Business Survey®. This survey, comprised of approximately 398 county and city profiles across all 50 states, provides information highlighting the business advantages of each community.
